CNN Student News
Each day students are presented with ten minutes of news presented at a level for students to understand. The news segment helps define terms and explain situations occurring around the world that otherwise students might find difficult to comprehend.
Illinois Government for Kids
The history and Constitution of Illinois is covered in the Spring in seventh grade. Students will participate in various activities preparing them for the Illinois Constitution. This website provides students with additional resources to test their knowledge.

PBS NewsHour Extra
Students will use several articles from PBS NewsHour, informing them of current events from around the world. Students will answer questions utilizing Blogs, Reciprocal teaching activities, and extended response activities.
Project Money
As most of the curriculum we cover in World History pertains to historical events, Economics will be covered on a weekly basis. Project Money provides additional resources covering important economic terms.
Class Zone
Class Zone gives students access to their World History and Literature textbooks at home. Each student has been given a username and password to access the textbooks at home. Not only will students be able to read their material on the computer, but they will be able to take notes, highlight material, and have the book read to them.
